About Me

I am a retired VA employee who lives in Texas. I consider the characters of the Bible "family" as much as any I know or have known on earth. To be one of the Lord's beloved is the greatest thing I know. What good company!

Bibledoorajar Takes the Ultimate Position to Meet the King!

"O The King is Coming,
The King is Coming!
I just heard the trumpets sounding,
And now His face I see
O the King is Coming
The King is Coming!
Praise God, He's Coming for me!*

The king himself had come with his mighty men for the country girl. He arrived on the lofty seat that he had had especially made for the occasion of his wedding. It was made of beautiful wood from Lebanon and was supported by 4 silver pillars. The bottom of it was inlaid with gold and the seat was purple. And most importantly, the record reports that the seat was paved with love. It was from this royal place that the bridegroom would accompany his bride on her way to Jerusalem.

Their relationship was not the same as other relationships of kings described in the Bible. She was not "snatched off the streets" and conscripted to service. She had been given a choice to love the king. She chose to hold on to him and to not let go. If she had not done so, he would have left her and not come for her. But praise God, she did love him and she sought him and she held on to him and she desired a consecrated relationship with him. And, so, of course, he came for her.

Lord, we choose you. Help us find you this week in special ways. We love you.

"I can hear the chariots rumble,
I can see the marching throng.
The flurry of God's trumpets
Spells the end to sin and wrong.
Regal robes are now unfolding,
Heaven's grandstands all in place.
Heaven's choir now assembled,
Start to sing, Amazing Grace!"*
